Office 2013 missing after June 11 Microsoft auto upates

I also copied each account's settings by backing up that Profile key in the registry so when I did get it back I did not have to enter all 11 of our email accounts by hand. Just had to merge the backup.

do you have a link to the instructions to do this? could come in handy one day besides simply copying the outlook files.

I found a solution for Outlook. Did the whole sysstem restore / uninstall / install yet outlook crashed on access. No error just poof. I found out it was my hotmail account connected via exchange activesync causing problems. I deleted the account and lo and behold outlook is stable again.

If you have the same problem and a hotmail account on Outlook deleting it might be a solution. Haven't tried adding it back again.

BTW the email app on my windows phone 8.1 isn't working either, I doubt it's a coincidence.

Office Home and Business 2013 is now blank under "file size" in Programs and Features following the June 11 Microsoft update.  How do I recover it?

Here is my experience. 3 days ago I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro. I also installed Office 2013 Professional. It worked for the first day. Then yesterday evening I tried to open an Access database and it said I didn't have permission for that program, even though Word and Excel still worked. It also told me that OfficeFileCache was corrupted and it renamed it and created a new one. Nothing fixed Access. Shortly thereafter I coudn't open any of my microsoft email accounts in Outlook. It would not list the folders even though it did for all my other accounts. It said they were being updated for 15 minutes or so. They didn't come back. I opened Word again and this time it told me that if I wanted proofing ability in my language i had to download the English proofing package which i did and installed it. Then, I kept getting a message that I was now on a metered ISP and to save me bandwidth or throughput it was going to do something about the caching of the files in Onedrive. I am not on a metered service. My wife was on her laptop next to me and everything was working for her just fine. I finally ran across this site and tried the Quick Repair which did not work. I then tried the lengthy one and it simply did not work and gave an error message. I then decided to uninstall and reinstall and if it didn't work, go back to Office 2010 Pro. I went to Uninstall Office 2013 and of all surprises it was not to be found in Programs and Features for Uninstallation. Office had been uninstalled on its own, leaving behind the folders that do not contain anything to run the programs.  I downloaded the FixIt from one of these posts and ran it. Then I copied about 6 folders to an external drive. They were folders that contained my emails, signatures, outlook data, etc. I also copied each account's settings by backing up that Profile key in the registry so when I did get it back I did not have to enter all 11 of our email accounts by hand. Just had to merge the backup. Well after all of this cleaning and the surprise uninstall, I got the actual CD with the installation on it and reinstalled Office 2013 back on by CD (or DVD whichever it is). Anyway, after it was done, I put back my mail data files and re-merged that Profile key with the registry and now everything has been working for 12 hours or so with no errors about a metered service or lack of permission to install Access. No mail fuss either because I had the good sense to back up the profiles so as to move them back into place as they were once reinstalled.

So that is my story. Very frustrating. Do not know which update did the trick. I had no Office updates listed, just Windows ones. But they are still there and Office is now purring right along as you would expect (until the next "update" of improvements that is).

I did a restore yesterday afternoon on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit laptop. When it came up it was ok. I then set my Windows Updates to download but not install, don't know why but when it shut down last night it updated anyway, argh, guess it must have to be rebooted to take effect.

I started it up again immediately and it installed the Windows update, rebooted itself and installed Windows updates again and rebooted. Low and behold all of my Office 2013 programs worked and still do this morning after a shutdown overnight. Don't ask me why, I just wanted you guys to know what happened on my laptop. I never uninstalled Office 2013.

Do not do an uninstall of Office or attempt to repair (it will just sit there). Do a system restore to before the updates. This will fix your Office. In some occasions on a domain you will get a Trust relationship issue. In this case log in as a local administrator and rejoin your domain.
