Outlook is asking to type a / to insert files and notes

I have a client that is getting this box that is asking him to type a / to insert a file or notes. How do I turn that off

    Thanks but the lack of a signature block makes this solution a non-starter.

    It works!!!! The only issue I have now is my signature. I am required to have a certain signature line with my Company address, phone, fax etc. When I switched to plain text then the signature was formatted wrong. It made it extra large with many spaces between each line in the signature. Would you know how to fix that?

    I futzed around and found a solution!

    In Outlook OWA,

    Go to Settings (Gear Icon),

    "View all Outlook settings" (on bottom),

      "Compose and Reply",

     "Message Format",

        "Compose messages in xxx format" select PLAIN TEXT (change from HTML).

    Save.

    It's really annoying - some support from Microsoft is needed for this.

    Still unable to find a way to disable this bloody annoying feature. It is especially problematic when using a laptop. HELLO Microsoft, are you listening? When will this be addressed?
