Outlook is asking to type a / to insert files and notes

I was prompted by a task my IT department has set up to Reboot my computer to install updates. After I installed the updates I was angry that my emails were suddenly very small. I went to setting to fix that. I went to send an email and the issue is now gone!! No more URL suggestions anymore. So maybe Microsoft put a fix out for it.

Neither of the above worked for another employee, but when they did this it worked: "I unchecked everything on that settings page, then cleared cache and cookies then relaunched the browser." Then they added back the features they still wanted to use. Seems like a bug not being responsive to changes or getting hung up.

I just had a co-worker reply when I sent it to them and this is his reply, so maybe also try toggling off the Suggested Replies.

"Text predictions was already disabled here, but there is something right above it called "suggested replies," which was checked. I unchecked it and it has disappeared.  THANK YOU!!"

Maybe I will try to turn it on and then off, maybe it will work. Also good to know you did this in Chrome, as that is what I use.

Bummer. I don't know what's up but a ton of employees complaining about it at my work. The only thing I did specifically was to compose a message and it showed up in Chrome. While that message was on the screen I went to settings and disabled it. Then did a Ctrl F5 to do a full screen refresh and it was gone. Went out and back in and it was still gone. If I re-enable it, it's still gone. So weird. Sigh :(
