How to i turn off junk email filtering in Outlook.com

I have found another post on this, but the thread is closed, so I cannot reply.

I need to adjust Junk email settings in Outlook.com as it is pulling way to much into junk.

A week ago, I migrated my who family from hosted exchange to Office 365 Home Premium with my own email domain.  Since then, just about all my families email are being pushed into junk.

The filtering is absolutely not working for me - which is set to "standard".

Can this setting be relaxed or turned off?

Something is badly wrong here!

Many thanks

Steve.

Rubbish, isn't it.  And it's no use MS thinking that we should put up with these bugs because Outlook.com is free;  I've spent many happy hours logging into my internet accounts etc and changing my email address so it hasn't come free of effort for me.  And there are lots of free emailers around.

I've been corresponding with MS Tech Support and have received this email about having an option to turn off the junk filter -

    "Hi, Gerry!

I first want to start off by letting you know I agree with you 100%. I do think this option should be available on request per account. I want to be sure you left some feedback for our developers as previously discussed via http://outlook.uservoice.com link. This personal feedback is very important as it is coming directly from you.

Moving forward, in the meantime, the best solution we can offer is to reach out to our Sender Support Team ( https://mail.live.com/mail/postmaster.aspx ) regarding this as, hopefully, they can make the appropriate changes to your account to correct these issues.

    We appreciate your cooperation!

Thank you for contacting Outlook.com Support."

Maybe if we all do this they may do something !

I received an email from MS support telling me that they had done all they could to try to solve the problem with perfectly-good emails going to the junk folder but there was nothing they could do as it was the fault of the senders of the emails.   I didn't see this for a while as, you've guessed it, it was sent

    to

    the

    junk

    folder

    Sigh !

Spinneyhill, the description given there doesn't apply to my Windows 10 Outlook. In my Outlook, there is no settings item as described (a little gear wheel in the corner), and the settings menu looks totally different than in that description, in particular, there is no item "block or allow". I do not know what version of Outlook this website talks about, but it doesn't have any resemblance with what I see when I open Outlook.

If you would have read this discussion, you would know that it is an established fact that Outlook, unless it is a very advanced version, does not allow for switching off the spam filter.

As I mentioned, we are an organization with 2000 people or so, and when there is the next opportunity to give feedback to our IT services, I will be very outspoken that the usability of Outlook is way below Gmail (which we used at my previous employer). There are all kinds of issues with Outlook, but the fact that one cannot switch off the spam filter wins the title of being the most ridiculous feat of this product.

I am amazed at the blockheaded MS attitude exhibited in this thread.  The Junk filter does not work.  It is unacceptable to have to add every email sender that might possibly want to ever email me to a "safe users" list, especially as this doesn't work properly anyway.

I think that the sending of every email to Junk has only started after I received an invitation from MS to rate outlook.com.  I recommended it and now find all my email goers to Junk.  Now they have my recommendation, maybe they want to force me to pay lots of money to buy the only product that will solve the problem.

I notice that I am was running the Beta version of outlook.com (though I've gone back to the standard version, without any change to the Junk-filter behaviour).  If they are trialing a beta version, this is the time to put the "Turn-off" feature in.

My previous ISP closed down and I have had to spend a long time transferring all my internet financial accounts etc to the new one.  I cannot face having to do it again.

Maybe I'll see if it's possible to set up a filter to automatically transfer 'junk' mails to my Inbox.

I use Office through my employer, providing me with Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016. Does that not suffice to turn off the spam filter?
