How to i turn off junk email filtering in Outlook.com

I have found another post on this, but the thread is closed, so I cannot reply.

I need to adjust Junk email settings in Outlook.com as it is pulling way to much into junk.

A week ago, I migrated my who family from hosted exchange to Office 365 Home Premium with my own email domain.  Since then, just about all my families email are being pushed into junk.

The filtering is absolutely not working for me - which is set to "standard".

Can this setting be relaxed or turned off?

Something is badly wrong here!

Many thanks

Steve.

    Hi,

Many thanks for your suggestion.   Unfortunately, Microsoft really mean this junk filter to be awful - they apply the junk algorithm before looking at any rules set up by the user so, no matter what rules you set up, emails get sent to the junk folder.

That doesn't achieve the desired outcome.

The junkmail filter has higher authority than any rules set by a user. Hence, it overrides sorting rules carefully set up by the user.

Even if a user sets up rules to direct emails into folders, a random selection of those messages end up in the junkmail folder instead. The result is that the user has to sort through the junkmail folder each day, and manually file every email.

It is rubbish that I can't turn off the Junk emails.  I am loosing important emails because they are seen as junk Why if I select the 'This is not Junk' does Outlook.com not add that address to my safe senders list.  Instead I have write down each address individually and then open the junk filter settings and manually add the address.  In this day and age I would have hoped that a machine could do that for me.

    Hi All,

We just want to make a follow-up. Was your issue with your email account junk folder resolved? If you need additional assistance, don’t hesitate to let us know.

    Regards.

The apathy and incompetence is staggering.

It's literally as if Microsoft support staff don't read the questions posted, then click a "generic follow up post" button to frustrate everyone.

    That about covers it nicely
