Is there any way to disable junk-mail/spam filtering completely in Outlook.com? I'd prefer my Windows client to handle this locally, thus everything I receive to my @outlook.com address should be going into Inbox.

Seriously, those are the the only two reasons I'm still using what used to be Hotmail, and then Live....and now Outlook.

    Oh, I'm sorry, Microsoft, it's Outlook.COM!

For how many programs and services can one company use the same Gawd d***ed name?!

I have the paid service.  Trust me, it's the same.

If I hadn't had this account since 2002, I would completely cancel it as I'm now using Zoho mail.  But with thousands of people having my old email address and who knows how many on-line accounts that still have it for my lockout email if needed, I can't dump it.

    As above.

I now have two inboxes, not one, with varying amounts of spam in each.  I now check two places each day.

The spam filter overrides my mail rules.

This has caused at least one known occasion of missing vital email that could have got me fired.

It's unacceptable for a basic function to cause more trouble than problems it solves. The answer that "is free" doesn't cut it, it's not free, I'm presented with ads which generate revenue and the same filter is used on the paid versions of outlook anyway.

I think, you are the only one for whom it's working!
