Is there any way to disable junk-mail/spam filtering completely in Outlook.com? I'd prefer my Windows client to handle this locally, thus everything I receive to my @outlook.com address should be going into Inbox.

'Works' doesn't just describe how much spam it grabs, it's how much legit email gets dumped into the trash and if one can actually use the rules and filters that are allegedly provided by the service.

And I'll reiterate:  From a technical and engineering standpoint, the spam filter serves no purpose, and actually creates extra work for the user, if, and only if, the user does not care at all that important legitimate emails will be sent to the spam/junk folder.  If not, the standard procedure is to manually check the spam/junk folder for legitimate emails.  If checking each incoming email for legitimate mail whether in the inbox or junk folder needs done anyway, then the junk mail filter serves literally no purpose other than to put a bunch of emails into a folder in which they can be automatically deleted.  That's why many users shut it off.  And that's why we're incensed that MS now won't let us turn it off like literally every other email service on the planet.  Of course, MS always knows best.  Why have any user adjustable settings in any software, really?

For people of which email is important, the ability to shut this feature off or protect email from whitelisted addresses is critical, and this email service does none of that.

So is it really working?  I guess if you are one of the users that cares not about dumping important mail, then sure.

Yeah neither it has functional spam filter

It's been working for me for years by recognizing 99% of the spam I get as Junk and files it appropriately.

Maybe you should delete all Rules and Blocks and see what happens for a while.

It's been not working for a whole bunch of people in this thread, and in many other threads on this forum.

Maybe microsoft should allow us to disable its useless spam filter?
