Is there any way to disable junk-mail/spam filtering completely in Outlook.com? I'd prefer my Windows client to handle this locally, thus everything I receive to my @outlook.com address should be going into Inbox.

I agree entirely, far too much genuine email is being put in the junk folder. Gmail seems to be far more balanced with junk detection, so I'm migrating my email to Gmail at the moment.

When the spam filter sends mail to the junk folder *that I have rules for to send it to an actual folder*, then the filter is no longer doing the job as intended.

The filter used to be amazing, getting more right than wrong, but now it seems that all emails are junk according to the filter.  I've missed emails because I hadn't been aware of quite how aggressive the filter was being.

What the hell happened?  A couple of years ago it worked perfectly, as intended.  Today all emails are junk, apparently.

The spam filter of Outlook (web access, OWA) is really **** indeed!

I wish I could disable it entirely. I am using Mailwasher to filter spam.

Just now I was waiting for some kind of confirmation. After a day or two I checked the junk folder and indeed the mail was there...

However, identical mails (concerns notification mails with just 1 single word changed in the text),

from the very same sender with same email address were nót marked as junk in the past..

Now all of a sudden the mail was marked as spam.

Because I am too late taking action now, I should follow a different procedure to collect my articles.

Thanks to this crappy spam filter that can not be disabled!

    Thanks MS...
