Is there any way to disable junk-mail/spam filtering completely in Outlook.com? I'd prefer my Windows client to handle this locally, thus everything I receive to my @outlook.com address should be going into Inbox.

I agree.  The final straw for me was when Outlook decided that Microsoft's own password reset email was spam!  I gave up.

Up to that point I'd been diligently trying to add just about every email address I know into Outlook's "safe senders".  But then I thought, why am I wasting my life doing this on a product that frankly is, and remains, broken?

So I've given up with Outlook.com and am happily routing my mail into the Thunderbird client via my ISP's servers and loving the fact that it just "works" and with much quicker logins I experienced with Outlook.com.

Just bin Outlook.com and enjoy life.....

I have the same problem with 'Outlook Mail'. With the previous incarnation, 'Outlook.com', I was able to use a filter as a workaround, but apparently this is not possible now.

I have only one explanation for a problem that was identified and left unsolved for at least 3 years. I do not believe the answer is incompetence, or just unwillingness. In my opinion, Microsoft is not interested in running public (free) mail servers.

Please accept this simple thought, as well as my regret about the Junk mail situation.

Ohh the irony… the notification email for rmooreau's reply… from "MicrosoftAnswers@microsoft.com"… was FILTERED BY MICROSOFTS JUNK FILTER!¡!

… despite the domain and the email address being added (by me) to my address book, the safe senders list and the safe mailing lists!

Honestly Microsoft… How can you get it so close & yet get it so wrong?

Do you people ever listen or read properly? Stop using boilerplate templates. He asked how can we disable the junk mail filter and your answer is to add a user to the safe senders list!?!?!?
