Is there any way to disable junk-mail/spam filtering completely in Outlook.com? I'd prefer my Windows client to handle this locally, thus everything I receive to my @outlook.com address should be going into Inbox.

You are correct.  It should be contains.

This is for Hotmail.  Just use click the Gear icon, More mail settings, Rules for sorting message, ......

That was the final solution for me! Thanks a lot.

I too am frustrated that outlook.com does not have a way to turn off the spam filter.  I want to filter it in my mail app not have to check outlook.com all the time.  Outlook.com has so much potential but its this lack of attention to what users may want that devalues it.

    Hi RickStockton,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

As what was mentioned on the previous posts by Moderators, the option to disable your spam filter settings is not available with Outlook.com. The steps provided by Ron Sommer Consumer Apps MVP is just a workaround.

To create the rule suggested by Ron, refer to the steps below:

    1. Log in to http://mail.live.com.
    2. On the upper right hand corner of your page, click the gear icon.
    3. Click More mail settings on the dropdown list.
    4. Under Customizing Outlook, select Rules for sorting new messages.
    5. Click New and input the settings on the screenshot below and click Save.:

Hope this helps. We look forward for your response.

    Thank you,

    Alix Xedjhidee

This does not work. When there is only an @ in the box it tells me:

"The text you entered in step one is invalid. It's either an invalid email address or contains invalid characters for an email address."

Probably it should be "contains" instead of "is"?

Please can you check with Microsoft outlook.com developers that they start working on a fix to allow to disable Junk filter? Thanks!
