Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

This JUST STARTED for me... and all it says is "we're aware" basically. But it doesn't offer any solutions or viable work arounds. Has anyone heard whether there's any new word on this? It was fine, then today i tried to attach a file to an email from document in a shared folder, and it was not possible. This is huge for us!

You can try creating a new account, but no one guarantees which account group it will end up in, the new one or the old one. I won't even judge who migrates where, since I have no such observations. For now, the fact remains that there are different user platforms and problems with shared folders between them. In parallel, wherever I find an opportunity to inform Microsoft about the problem, I write a message about the problem with shared folders. Perhaps one day the quantity will still turn into quality and they will fix something))

Well B**gger me. Just tested this and yes exactly as you say. My account is the newer and shows URL the other two are the older and can access each other normally (although I can only test the other two via the OneDrive app on an iPad and safari browser.

But overall, I get exactly the same as described here by Michael. Need to feed this back to Microsoft I think, as it seems to be a positive thread to investigate root cause, unless of course they have found this (Marty comment above) and are testing the fix!

I might see if I cam migrate all MY data to the 3rd account and rename everything and start using that, although camera backup etc. may fall foul of that, but I will try things out and see if I can get a work around for my account.
