Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

How come does Microsoft do NOTHING to solve this? when I spoke with customer service, both the operators pretended not to know about this open issue, falling from the pear tree and asking where I had sharing problem ("in Onedrive?") and making me describe and show and send print screen GRRRRRRR. I, with 0 background in clouds, identified a problem in the presence of "user migrated" and "lock of shared local folder": how is it possible Dev department cannot make a diagnosys and then solve this? clearly it's a matter of convenience for them: it's more convenient to wait for everybody migrated, instead to face the transition. I could wait BUT with a plan, that gives me the possibility to manage the absence in a short time: this web usage makes onedrive totally loose meaning. This is NOT the approach of a vendor who is paid to give a service.

I can confirm that all my 365 Family accounts and machines are on the same version (Build 25.020.0202.0001) but this problem persists ... all of our machines show some shared folders as weblinks and some shared folders as folders. There is no rhyme nor reason for why some are and some are not folders or links.

I have now tried creating one new folder on each of my 6 devices and sharing them across the others. ALL, and I mean ALL show up as links.

Whatever Microsoft has done here is about as useful as serving soup with a fork. Fix or refund, Microsoft.
