Junk Emails Suddenly going to Inbox Feb 2023

Hi, I had my hotmail account for over 20 years and I never had an issue like this. As of this morning at 4am ALL of my junk emails are going to my inbox. No settings have been amended.

Since I've had this account for many years every 5 minutes I receive a junk in my inbox. Ive searched for a solution online but all I can see is for outlook and not outlook/hotmail 365. I've tried everything at this point, from rules to flagging wit no help. Has anyone experienced the same? Microsoft doesnt seem to have a customer service team to help?

Many thanks

I am not from Microsoft and I have the same problem since Feb 2023.

Every day I report a Fake Microsoft Email signaling that a Russian broke into my system.

This is not only ennoying but I wonder if Microsoft care about us.

Hey! Bill stop your garbage in Africa and take care of your old customers.

@Microsoft, why do you not help your customers? This thread is now several months old. Why does it take so long to solve this problem? One hotmail account gets annoyingly many (20+) spam mails *per day*, whereas in another hotmail account, the spam filter is still working.

It would be most appreciated if someone of Microsoft would reach out to us.

I used to block all the junk emails until I got a message from Microsoft telling me there was no more room for them. I had to empty my blocked senders list. Blocking junk didn't reduce the number I was getting anyway, so now I no longer bother. Instead I leave it and let Microsoft empty the folder after 10 days, by which time there are well over 1000 sitting there! https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/junk-email/outlook-error-over-junk-emial-list-limit

    What I do.

Scan junk mail for errant or new trusted senders.

Block remaining junk mail en masse.

Solitary junk that does not allow blocking gets reported as phishing.

It can be tedious handling 30 to 50 or more unwanted e-mails everyday, but it is what it is.
