Can’t login to Facebook because Authenticator app didn’t backup and save credentials

I got a new phone and cant login to Facebook now. The authenticator app didnt backup and save my Facebook credentials and now I cant get the 2 factor authentication code required. How can I recover this info?

    Yes!! That would have been great. After 5 months, I am finally back into my FB account. Literally sent over 50 requests and finally after the 3rd copy of my passport was sent I received a link that unlocked my account and I was able to turn off the two factor authentication.

    @nancyburns0220 who did you contact to get this addressed?

    Dear team,

    My mobile alla data wiped due to some error. Unable to login Facebook account. When I entered user name and password than asking login code. Unable to login code via SMS or mail. Please help me this......

    Same issue here! So annoying because when you do the iphone backup it doesn't warn you that the Microsoft Authenticator data will not be backed up. I'm thankfully still logged in on desktop, but cannot change the 2FA because (guess what?) it asks for the MA code, which then of course it rejects because it's a new device and the two are no longer linked. :(

    I've submitted the problem to FB, let's see what happens. I was able to recover my account once before as OP describes with MANY attempts and FB was able to temporarily turn off 2FA for me to get back in.
