Stop dictate from turning off in Word 365

Is there any way that we can prevent dictate to turn off (or at least extend the time that it stays on) in Word 365? I'd really like for it not to stop listening while I'm thinking about what to say.

    The issue I’m having from this and I think its the same with the other comments here is that it isnt shutting off after a few minutes its shutting off after a couple seconds or for me its often shutting off mid sentence with no delay at all

    My question, and I think this was Alpacino's question as well, is how do you keep Dictate from automatically turning itself off? It turns off by itself when I move the cursor, when I just wait a few seconds. Makes the Dictate function pretty much useless. I want it to stay on until I tell it to turn off. Can I do that?

    Thank you for your reply. But this was not the answer I was looking for. I want to see if there is any way to stop dictate to turn off automatically. I'd like for it to stay on no matter how long it takes for me to speak out my thoughts.

    Dictate Feature will stop after few seconds if you didn’t speak or you don’t have any reaction. It’s not an issue, this is how it designed.

    This issue here is the dictation feature is not sensitive, and turns off mid-sentence.  Because of this, it is broken / useless.  Go ahead and try it.  Turn it on, then start talking.  It will often turn off mid-sentence without any warning, only dictating half a sentence, sometimes even half a word.

    And by the way... nothing wrong with my mic setup.  I use it in calls all day long and have no issues.  

    I'd like to report this as a bug, NOT a feature.
