Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Hello,

I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:

'Camera upload must be enabled ...'

The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.

Or am I missing something here ...?

I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.

Thanks!

I find the "Media Sync" keeps turning off. If I turn it on it will sync everything and then it turns off again when it is done, which us super frustrating.

When you say you turned off photos via the Samsung account. Do you mean you unlinked the account from one drive or that you turned off the option in the camera settings.

It seems that I took overly-drastic measures by closing the Samsung account completely.

However, I had disconnected first the Samsung account from Microsoft , I did not think of doing the reverse.

Anyway, it's good that people know they have this option: unlinking both accounts from each other (Samsung from Microsoft and Microsoft from Samsung).

Not sure if any of the replies to this cover this. I have had the same.issue and just solved it by doing the following.

    Go into Settings.

    Accounts and Backup

    Accounts

Select the Samsung Account - blue square with rounded.off corners with a circle innit within which there.is a stylised image of a person

    Select Apps and Services

    Connected Services

If it shows Microsoft account, press the 'Unlink' button.

    This worked for me.

Hope it works for you too.

    From their website.

I had created the account when I set up my smartphone. With the same credentials I logged in the online Samsung account through my laptop and deleted it from account settings or so.
