Outlook on android - receiving notifications, but emails don't show in inbox.

I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.

Please help!

    The same issue started for me, and at the same time for my wife, earlier this week. We both get alerts for the new messages along with an alert in the notification area but no new emails show in the inbox. Removing and adding the account back showed the emails but new messages still do not show up.

    I logged on to my computer earlier this week and opened the email app, receiving a message that something was upgraded (new emails do show up). I thought my account was upgraded months ago. Maybe the two are not related but the issue with my Android app started on the very same day.

    No, still unsolved, frustratingly. I have to reset the account every single timeI want to view or send an email from that account.

    For the past two days I have been having the same issue as well - on both my Samsung S7 and my Samsung Tab S 10.5.

    Annoyingly, I get the notifications but nothing showing in my inbox

    Works fine in a PC environment and my wife seems to have no issues on her S7

    I'm having the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy S5.  I get notifications, but no new emails.

    I've tried force stopping the app, clearing the cache, resetting the data... nothing!
