I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.
Please help!

I'm having the same issue on my S8 using the android app. I see the email header but no email content is visible.
Facing same issue from past few days.. I'm using honor 8 pro. From past 1 Yr this issue didn't came bt from few days it is occurring. Mails are shown in notifications bt when I try to open them app gives error can not open. @Microsft team, please fix this issue. Tried all possible ways but this issue re occurs every time. Please fix this on high priority.
Same issue for me on a Pixel 2 XL. Started happening yesterday. I either have to delete and reinstall the Outlook app or remove my account from the app. This is a terrible fix and it is insanely sad that Microsoft's response to this is basically "uh, well that sucks."
Going to give it another day, then move to another app. I love the app, but especially when I am on the road, I don't want to have to reset the app to get an important email.
I get the notification that I have a new email (Outlook app, using an Exchange work account) but the email is not in my Inbox. Sometimes I see a "fetching new email" message but the email still doesn't appear. Closing the app down and reopening it sometimes works. Happens both on wifi and cellular on my LG V30 on Android 8. But it also happened on my Samsung S9 too. I think the Android outlook app needs some serious fixing.
It's really very frustrating! Microsoft couldn't solve the problem even after one year! This is not at all acceptable. While I notice this from last week, I captured some of the screenshots, I lost many important emails, don't know how can I get those back!
I cannot live with that, just uninstalled Outlook App from My Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt phone. Reconfigured with its default email apps. If it continues, I will go back to my laptop email.
