Outlook on android - receiving notifications, but emails don't show in inbox.

I use outlook for android (Motorola Moto G running Android 5.1) and it worked great until a couple of days ago. Now I get notifications of new emails, but the messages don't show up in my inbox. If I click a notification to try and read the email, it says 'Couldn't open message', and takes me back to my inbox, which shows only old messages.

Please help!

It's really annoying in COVID time not to see your recent emails.

The mails don't sync. How many times you can reset your account.

Is this a solution? And also you are stuck with only outlook to access your emails.

Microsoft team.. please find a solution to it.

Give it a while.. the problem will recur.  I tried that switching off focused once and thought it was fixed too.

    The problem came back.

Is there an update available for Outlook? If so, kindly update it. Also, have you tried signing in your Outlook account on a different device? This is to isolate if the issue is just happening on your mobile phone only.

We found a thread similar to your concern, kindly follow the troubleshooting steps provided by Johayber T. on this link.
