I received an email stating Update your sign-in technology before September 16th, 2024 to maintain email access. Is this legit or a scam?

I don’t understand any of this and can’t get ahold of anyone at Microsoft to explain this. I have personal email with Outlook and am concerned that I will lose it with this new process. Surely there is a simple way to explain this or a phone number I can use to talk to a real person?

I've received this message also about getting my mail on Office outlook.
i've read that it is not a scam, but the long long message doesn't say how to fix the problem? We have relied on microsoft to look for answers on the internet. Do we need to change the passwords again whit a full stop or exclamation mark and/or more numbers or capital letters?

My wife and I are over 80 years old and have noone to turn to to fix this problem on our office 2010 settings. will our phones be affectected also? And does this affect our contacts.

We have no problems with the computer, banking or the internet.
