HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours

Hello!

I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.

I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.

I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

Same here. I started having issues on 8/16/24 and still do not get new email notifications today. This is a huge problem and needs to be fixed asap!

I have done all of these.

I have turned it all on including my computers sound. You see, I have mentioned that my other outlook account doesn't have any issues. Just this email.

Microsoft has eliminated that vital feature for all customers as part of a recent Outlook automatic upgrade. No warnings, just eliminated it. Most online chat agents are unaware of this as well. Microsoft's new customer service motto? "We're not happy until you're not happy."

I wasted 3 days and over 4 hours with NINE online agents with foreign sounding names before learning this little tidbit of 'secret' info.

    Dear Lex Lascuna

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

According to your description, I understand that one of your emails is not able to send out a notification sound to remind you of the arrival of your emails in the web version, if there is any misunderstanding in my understanding, please point it out.

You can check if you have turned on sound alerts for this account, you can click on the gear shaped [Settings] button at the top right corner of the outlook web version. After that click on [General] - [Notifications], click on the mail category, which contains a [Play Sound] you need to make sure that this button stays turned on.

This reply may not directly address your issue, so feel free to let me know how it goes any time by repling below.

I look forward to hearing from you!
