Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

Thanks

Thanks so much for involving yourself in this craziness. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

Again, thank you. I promise to share whatever I find out here.

I wonder if everyone with this issue has a Dell?

This was found today and we are a Dell shop - we are going to disable the network part of Dell Optimizer on some of the affected machines now and see what happens...

    ExpressConnect/Outlook Issue

The Dell Optimizer update that was released at the end of April is causing issues with Outlook in our environment.  I'm just writing this to hopefully save others some grief if this occurs elsewhere.

After the upgrade, Outlook will either disconnect every few hours or get stuck at loading profile.  The only way to resolve it is to restart the PC.  This has happend on Precision 5760 & 7550 models as well as Latitude 7420.  Uninstalling ExpresConnect from the Add/remove programs applet resolved the issue for several in our environment.

Just hoping that if anyone else has this issue this will help. It took me about 7 hours to figure out what was causing it!

    This is it.

WLAN and ethernet we're both active and connected on all devices (Dell, Win11). As soon as I turned off autoreconnect on the WiFi and ran on wired connection only the issue has been permanently resolved.

I am seeing the same issue on one PC in our enviroment. New Dell laptop running win 11, Office 365 with an E5 license. User loses connection to Microsoft 365 server in all Office apps. Outlook, Teams, Excel Word. Only fix is to restart the PC. Once restarted it will work for the rest of the day, then start the issue again the next day.

Were you able to find a fix for this? I have the exact same issue and it's driving me crazy having to reboot the laptop several times a day!
