Signatures in New Outlook for Mac have disappeared

On July 6 I installed the updates v16.63 (2207500) and in New Outlook the signatures from all four of the email accounts I have, have all disappeared. They are not visible in SIgnatures, and the '+' button in Edit Signatures does nothing – I can't recreate the signatures. I've upgraded to v16.63 (22070801) but no change.

I switched back to Legacy Outlook nd the signatures were all there, and I could edit and add signatures. Switching back to New Outlook, my signatures had reappeared, but once I restarted my MacBook, in New Outlook the signatures are not present and I cannot add any.

Any help gracefully received. I've tried the customer Customer Support button but the chat responses are painfully slow - conversation has been going on since July 7th with diagnostic questions taking 18-48 hours to appear.

    I switched to 'old' Outlook and my signatures reappeared in the list (along with several blank ones, that I assume were created whenever I clicked the + button in the Signatures panel, but nothing appeared to happen). I deleted the blank ones, set the New Message and Replies signature, then went back to New Outlook and they appeared. (I ahve the Task pane showing, as someone else suggested.) I quit Outlook and restarted it and the signatures still appeared. So we will see what happens.

    So we fix THE NEW AND IMPROVED OUTLOOK in Terminal on 8/1 and MS pushes through another shoddy update by 8/10 that nullifies the patch? What are my alternatives to Outlook? (Hint hint MS, we're fed up with the inadequacies of your product. Make it right or make it go away.)

    1. Open a terminal window.
    2. Type or copy the following command (without the quotes, and then hit enter)
      "defaults read com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures"
    3. Type or copy the following command (without the quotes, and then hit enter) "defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures 0"
    4. Restart Outlook

    I had same problem and can confirm, so far at least, the above works! Terminal is found "Launchpad" and "Other" folder. You will receive the "...does not exist" error after step 2, ignore it and continue steps.

    Mine appear and disappear all the time after restarts. Plenty of people say this works and doesn't works. I'm betting it's the restarts and luck of the draw whether it works and when it fail again. Clearly this is still a bug that needs to be fixed.

    thanks, this works for me eventhough its says 'doesn't exist' for the first line.

    however once i entered "defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures 0"

    restart outlook.

    it works.
