Hotmail/Outlook.com junk mail filter not working

Hello

It seems that from the early hours of this morning 20/02/2023 the junk mail filter on hotmail.com email addresses has stopped working. This has happened to both my partner and myself and we have tried to find the Settings menu item to ensure this is set to High and it does not seem to exist anymore!

Please can someone please let us know how to re-instate the High junk mail filter so that only known senders emails appear in Inbox and all other senders go to the Junk folder. I have used this setting for YEARS but overnight something seems to have updated and my Inbox is now full of my junk email.

It's as though something has been updated/removed overnight that should not have.

Best,

Chantal

There was an option to set a filtering level instead of having to go through every individual thing one by one. That does not exist anymore.

This was fixed for literally everyone else on Monday. You should submit feedback through the app then. I am not sure why you would be any different.

Since Monday, February 20th, I'm still receiving SPAM e-mails in my inbox. I tap on BLOCK SENDER. I've NEVER had another e-mail in my life other than my Hotmail (since e-mail was available). This is INFURIATING and FRUSTRATING. What's going on with correcting this? Please offer some response about correcting this!!!

    • Click the gear in the upper right hand corner to go to Settings.
    • At the bottom of settings click View all Outlook Settings.
    • Click on Junk Mail
    • At the bottom of Junk Mail tick "Only trust email from addresses in my Safe senders domains list and Safe mailing lists"
    • Profit.

Okay. Where do you set that filter? I have had it set for-Hotmail-ever, and can't find where to set the level of filtering anywhere now..
