Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

I still can't make this work.

Outlook Desktop, Windows Mail client, and Thunderbird all work just fine.

When I try to add an IMAP account I get the message that says "Please check your email and password and try again." However, I can see a successful login from the phone in both the SMTP (from acompli.net) and the IMAP (from the phone) server logs.

    Arggh.

Having the same issue. Tried all the approaches in this thread and none are working for me. I'm going back and forth with "in app support", which has been useless thus far. Of course, when I put the information in GMail phone app it works perfectly ... but for other reasons I would prefer not to use Google.

Just installed the latest version available to me.

I now can add the imap account again using :993 and :465 ports.

But the issue of imap folders not being associated with the appropriate app system folders remains.

Therefor for me imap accounts are still broken as I can not sent or delete an item.

Again I addressed this to support.

I got a reply that the issue is now known and that development will address it. No mentioning when the fix can be expected.

Well, that at least is something.
