Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

I've now noticed that their App support now does not work at all. It's been three    weeks and they don't answer. Very Poor showing.

BluMail works like a dream. Pity they can't link to other calendars except Google,    otherwise I would have deleted Outlook app altogether.

I've had the same ongoing experience.

Even though I'm a longstanding Microsoft customer, I've given up with OfA due to their inability or lack of interest in fixing this appallingly designed app.  I've now got comfortable using BlueMail, which sets up intelligently, and runs smoothly.

    The problem now is SMTP

So the new email push notifications works for you?

Lets face it. It's apparent that Microsoft have zero interest in resolving the issue. A huge company, one of the richest in the world, that can write a whole Operating system for Servers, businesses and home use could fix a simple email issue in 5 minutes if they wanted to, although I have to say I'm bewildered as to why not.

    True, unfortunately.

I have installed K9 mail beta, Spark, Bluemail.

All 3 are working excellent with my Imap account. I am not using the Imap account on Outlook anymore. It gives me too much grief and stress.

I am not waiting any longer for MS to maybe solve finally the issue after more than a year (I think)
