Outlook Notification Centre - Emails won't open

Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email. 

Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

    I've stopped clicking on the pop ups.  given up on it I guess.

    The issues seems to have resolved itself somehow today. No updates since yesterday when the issue was still happening as it has been for months. Anyone else experiencing same resolution today?

    Same issue for me, extremely annoying: Outlook (Version 2007, build 13029.20344 Click-to-Run)

    Must be fixed with top priority
