Split from this thread.

I've been having the same problem. I've been using the support feature in the app haven't been any help yet. I'm the admin of my org and none of the settings have changed for my login. Previously when used this app and added an account it would ask me if I wanted to stay logged in. I've deleted everything, cleared cache and app data, uninstalled everything, and I've never seen that option again when I add my account again. When ever I login I see a bunch of screens pop-up and they disappear and I have no idea what it's doing.

Yes, I registered my phone in the Microsoft Authenticator app for android and that has seemed to fix it.

With this many people reporting "SIGN ON ISSUES WITH MICROSOFT APPS ON ANDROID" all around the same time, something larger is wrong here. Microsoft if you're listening, I'm the admin of a large enterprise and would be willing to work with you all to put this to bed forever.  Let's do it.

Fingers crossed. I joined the Beta program for the MS Authenticator app. I have not had the issue since.

(a nice side product, it now backs up codes)

that sucks, the only solution i can think of would be to uninstall authenticator for now and rely on sms auth

im really shocked with the lack of communication and support on this case.  i brought this up like 3 weeks ago, created atleast 10 tickets about it, and still have not received confirmation that this issue is being worked on, or a status update
