Outlook.com Font keeps changing

I am using Outlook.com on Windows 7 (SP1) and IE10 (with latest update.)

Language is set to English UK.

The font keeps changing when I send an email.

No matter what font and size I use this problem occurs.

I type an email and it looks fine and then I send it.

However, when I see it in the sent folder, the font on some lines or paragraphs has changed - normally to a smaller size.

If I paste anything from a Word Document, the problem is even worse.

I have sent myself emails from Outlook.com using another account and email client to receive them and the emails look terrible and very unprofessional.

I have tried every solution suggested on the internet clear IE temporary files etc. uninstall Silverlight - but to no avail.

I have used Google Chrome browser - same problem.

Until I can resolve this, I am using eM Client software to send and received my outlook.com emails.

Is anyone aware of this problem please and any potential solutions.

Thank you.

yeah, after I posted that all was well, it re-occurred with me too.

I've been reading many posts with this problem. you would think that this

would be resolved by now but alas, no. :(

unfortunately, i have to deal with it because all my employers know me by my email address.

is there a way to keep my address and NOT use Outlook?

if so, please fill me in.

    many thanks

I agree with all of you.  I have contacted Microsoft so many times and they never help with this. The font change is extrememly annoying. we have folks who are visually impaired and we need to set and maintain a different and larger font.  At this point I am seriously considering dropping all of our MSN/OUtlook accounts.  Does anyone know how to get Microsoft/Outlook to pay attention? Ot have the ygotten so big they no longer listen to the users?

    Hi all,

Just wanted to chime in and say that I have also been having this problem for some time. Extremely frustrating as the change in text size does not appear until the message has already been sent (i.e. it looks fine before you hit 'send').

Seeing as we have still not seen a fix for this issue, I am seriously considering migrating to another email service.

    Hi Chappy Hills,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community forum.

I know that you're having an issue in changing the font size when creating an email after you've followed the steps provided by previous agent. Let me help you with this.

To be able to verify if the issue still persist, kindly send a test email to your own account and check if the font size have changed. If not, we would like you to provide us a screenshot of your font settings, when creating an email and the test email showing that the font size did not change from the default size.

I have tried this solution many  times. The font continues to change back to size 12 after I have set it for size 16 or 20. The problem does not get corrected with your solution.
