Outlook.com Font keeps changing

I am using Outlook.com on Windows 7 (SP1) and IE10 (with latest update.)

Language is set to English UK.

The font keeps changing when I send an email.

No matter what font and size I use this problem occurs.

I type an email and it looks fine and then I send it.

However, when I see it in the sent folder, the font on some lines or paragraphs has changed - normally to a smaller size.

If I paste anything from a Word Document, the problem is even worse.

I have sent myself emails from Outlook.com using another account and email client to receive them and the emails look terrible and very unprofessional.

I have tried every solution suggested on the internet clear IE temporary files etc. uninstall Silverlight - but to no avail.

I have used Google Chrome browser - same problem.

Until I can resolve this, I am using eM Client software to send and received my outlook.com emails.

Is anyone aware of this problem please and any potential solutions.

    will definitely try this.

    up until now, the only way to correct the situation was to highlight all the words in my email, resize and change the font and return it to the way I had it and then send it. a pain the ****, but assures me that he doesn't come up looking weird to the recipient

    I don't know what happened one day I had lost my Outlook so I had to go back online and get it again and this time it opens with an extra tab related to Google main page but the good news is that I don't have a problem with my Fonts anymore.  I assume it must be a different version of Outlook.  May be you should uninstall your Outlook and get another one with the New Tab for online search attached to it.  Good Luck its worth a try.

    This problem is still unsolved since 2013! Microsoft, can someone help?!

    It looks unprofessional. It does not matter which browser we use, because it happens at all of them.

    Again THE problem:

    • we select a font
    • type an email
    • send it and the font/color/size is different!

    Hello MS.  Anybody out there?  Marco_Mi's advice (form 2013) has never worked for me.  What ever font I use while composing an email the recipient often receives random size changes.  I have given up using hotmail/outlook for any business-related communication as it just looks too unprofessional. Which is a pity because there is a lot about the outlook.com platform that I like.

    This answer does not work for me.  Whatever Font I choose and save it does not keep it when I write an email.  It keeps going back to size 8.  I am using windows 8.1 and would like to write emails in size 12.  Thank you
