Outlook.com Font keeps changing

I am using Outlook.com on Windows 7 (SP1) and IE10 (with latest update.)

Language is set to English UK.

The font keeps changing when I send an email.

No matter what font and size I use this problem occurs.

I type an email and it looks fine and then I send it.

However, when I see it in the sent folder, the font on some lines or paragraphs has changed - normally to a smaller size.

If I paste anything from a Word Document, the problem is even worse.

I have sent myself emails from Outlook.com using another account and email client to receive them and the emails look terrible and very unprofessional.

I have tried every solution suggested on the internet clear IE temporary files etc. uninstall Silverlight - but to no avail.

I have used Google Chrome browser - same problem.

Until I can resolve this, I am using eM Client software to send and received my outlook.com emails.

Is anyone aware of this problem please and any potential solutions.

Thank you.

    Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with changing fonts in Outlook 2013. I change it daily and it drives me crazy. I set it to Verdana 11, black, for example and if I shut my PC or close my Outlook, it keeps changing back to Calibri 12 and blue ! I'm having Win 8, and everyone in my company have the problem since they switched to Outlook 2013 from Outlook 2010. Does anybody know where the problem is ?

    Thanks,

    Denise

Equally useful workaround.  Go elsewhere for email.

been dealing with this problem for years now.

the only way to sort-of fix it is after you write an email is to select all, change the font, change the size, change the color

and THEN put it back to the original settings. Major pain in the **** but it works.

Same problem here! Usually when I start a new paragraph. I can not see the font difference while writing the email but once received by the recipient one random paragraph will have a larger font size. Really embarrassing and can no longer use Outlook Web client.

    Microsoft please fix this!

When I started to use Windows 10 I saw the built in Mail app. and was delighted, it looked tailor made for Outlook.com.

It didn't take me long to discover that the default font is tiny and there is no way to alter the default font.

What is wrong with the people that design this software ?

I have reverted to Windows Live Mail 2012 - much more flexible and reliable.

Of course - this defeats the object of the whole idea of a web based email client that is (or should be) Outlook.com.
