Teams on Mac video is instantly choppy

I'm getting extremely jittery video despite a good connection. It looks like every few frames, a single frame from a second ago is displayed, causing both my video and other participants videos to just jitter in a really distracting way. It can't be my connection because I have a good ping & good connection, and its happening to my video as well.

    I have done a little research and found that this seems to be related to Mac computers with the Intel CPU. I have others I work with who have the Apple silicon and they are not having the issues. I have also updated to the new Ventura OS running 13.1 and still having the issues.

    For me, the issue started with the latest update of MS Teams ("You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.33356. It was last updated on 16.12.22."). So it seems that the issue is independent of whether macOS Monterey or Ventura is installed - I still use macOS Monterey 12.6.2 (corporate policy doesn't allow an upgrade just yet) and the issue occurs there too.

    It is really a very annoying bug that only occurs on the MS Teams app for Mac, not on any other applications using cameras. @microsoft: please fix this issue.

    Where were you able to get a copy of 1.5.00.31156. I cannot find it through a legitimate channel.

    Thanks for the response Bebop, I suggest you try to reinstall teams on desktop since it's only happening there.

    First option

    Second option

    • Uninstall teams.
    • Go to this folder: %appdata%\Microsoft

    - Delete the Teams folder

    • Reinstall Teams
