How do I turn off PIN login on Windows 11?
When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

2023-01-22T16:49:32+00:00 Good discussion, thanks for everyone who posted.
However, the discussion does not address what I had done in Windows 10 that suited me perfectly.
I had disabled any PIN or password in Windows 10 on bootup because (a) it's a pain, (b) this 60-lb workstation is in a secure place in our house and it would be a lot of work to disconnect it from all the cables running everywhere if someone wants to steal it, (b) our house has excellent security. However, I wanted to be able to secure the computer when we leave or have visitors over to the house.
So when I wanted to secure the computer, what I did was check the option on the screen saver to require login when the system resumed from the screensaver.
I would like to have the same functionality in Windows 11, or better yet, I single setting that I can toggle off and on easily (maybe with a batch file if needed) to require/not require a PIN for logging into the computer.
I am having so much of a better time configuring this new Windows 11 workstation than my previous Windows 10 workstation that it really makes me appreciate Windows 11 so far. It would be even better if I had a way to toggle the login PIN requirement off and on!
