It says no audio device is installed when I plug in my c920 logitech camera. This just happened recently. They used to work well together before.

    Hi all, if you have this problem try this workaround for now:

    1. Win+R -> services.msc -> hit enter
    2. Scroll down and find "Windows Audio" and double click this (the state of this service should be running, but it is stopped/crashed. In my case because I have a logitech webcam c925e plugged in)
    3. Win-X -> Device Manager
    4. Find "Sound, video and game controllers" and expand it
    5. right click on "Logitech Webcam C925e", Click "uninstall device", then "uninstall" ... OR you can "Disable" this device if not using the mic from this webcam.
    6. Go back to the "Window Audio" service window and click "Start", then wait until the service status is running
    7. Go back to the "device manager" window and click "Action -> Scan for hardware changes" to get the logitech webcam audio back.
    8. Check the Windows Audio service window and the "Service Status" should stay "Running"

    Good luck!

    Does not work.

    Audio stops working after step 7 "Action -> Scan for hardware changes"

    Thanks for the effort though

    Thanks for your reply.

    Unfortunately those methods don't work. But I'm sure that the problem is with the Windows Audio service. Whenever I start the service, it stops immediately. But when I unplug my camera it starts again. Could you please tell me how to fix this?

    go under device manager, scroll down to "Sound, video and game controllers" disable device "1080P Pro Stream" under THIS category but leave it enabled elsewhere. Instantly all my other audio inputs kicked back on

    I've found my problem.

    It's related with  Intel Smart Sound Technology driver.

    Once I removed this driver from my system, I got my Windows Audio service back to running state.

    The problem now is I only have my Logitech items working and the others not(I have the cam G920 and Audio speakers G560).

    I dont know how to find a driver version that works for for both.
