My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

    So far, for me, the issue hasn't come back since I disabled AirPrint on the printer. I'll double-check with the actual customer/end-user tomorrow to confirm. If this works, it's definitely a good workaround while Microsoft finds out the root cause and what triggers it. Well, I guess Microsoft gets triggered by Apple by default.

    JohnL GB, it's unrelated to the device connecting to the printer, but rather within the settings/configuration of the printer itself.

    DouglasJimenez1, we tried disabling bi-directional communications and unchecking the SNMP Status Enabled first but that didn't resolve the issue for us.

    AirPrint is a protocol of the printer that you can disable from the EWS of the printer. I'm going to try that on someone I know who has the issue, I'll try that later today. As a second option, I'll probably disable SNMP bi-directional communication also for testing purposes.

    Hi m_c, the problem only appears to be when the printer is connected by USB and I use a droid (company phone) anyway. It may be a solution for Apple users but I have no idea if it would affect a USB connection. Do you know if the AirPrint option is on the printer, in the MS software or on your phone in order to disable it? Checking on the internet, it's hidden away in the Config file, that might be a bit deep for most users. Maybe that's where MS should look to make a patch make it more available for the guy in the street.

    eSCL is an Apple AirScan\AirPrint protocol. If you can, try to disable AirPrint on your device. That seems to have fixed the issue for me.
