GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

Thank you for the suggestion John. My printer is on the other side of my office so it never occurs to me until it starts printing. I just put a post-it note on my computer to remind me to hit the cancel print button (because that is more convenient than Microsoft finding a fix...)! At least I will get exercise walking back and forth to the printer??

All I can suggest then Kelly, is that you hit the cancel print button a few times to wake the printer up and before you send a print job to it.

Please try the solution found here:

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not resolve the issue, but it was worth a try. This is beyond frustrating, I've gone through close to a ream of paper due since this started and Wi-Fi is not an option for me.

I no longer get the ""Get /eSCL/...." printout that I was getting earlier...a nice step back to normalcy. The only remaining problem is that the computer appears to be pinging the printer often. The printer stays on constantly. (I have the control panel on the printer setting to have the printer go to sleep after 4 minutes if no print jobs have come through. It always worked before the upgrade to Windows 11.

I do not have wireless connection capability on this HP LaserJet Enterprise M553 printer. I'm using USB cable connection.

I have a Brother MFC-L37500CDW multi-function printer/scanner. Was working fine. Upgraded to Windows 11 and now whenever it wakes up from sleeping, it prints a 2-line page saying:

    Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1

    Host: Localhost

Uninstalled Printer, reinstalled -- no change

Updated printer firmware -- no change

Switched USB cable to another USB port -- no change

From what I have seen on multiple forums, this is happening with multiple printers and multiple brands. The only constant is they are all connected via USB and all started happening when upgraded to Windows 11.
