My desktop computer:
built for windows 11,
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400, 2500 Mhz,

After last update, ms-settings, start button, search bar and other fuctionality does not work,
I tried as usually with elevated cmd:
sfc /scannow -> no problem detected
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth -> no problems detected
DISM.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth -> restore succeded.
reinstall in place (after configuring for a clean startup) terminate (100%) but does not succed.
This is my C:\Windows\Logs\SetupDiag\setupdiagresults.xml:
I checked the
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:"E:\sources\install.wim" from a mounted iso of windows 11 24H2 that I downloaded for the In place Reinstall.
I restarted OS but nothing changed.
From the Event Wiewer I found a lot of DistributedCOM 10001 errors (Sorry but my Windows OS is Italian):

- Download Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295
- Run MCT and download the ISO it recommends for your system. Do *not* uncheck "Use the recommended options for this PC".
- Right-click on the downloaded ISO and choose "Mount." This assigns the ISO a drive letter.
- Run setup.exe from the ISO drive. This starts the in-place upgrade/repair installation.
- This starts the setup dialog. In the initial screen, click “Change how Setup downloads updates”
- Select “Not right now”, and continue the process.
(Your files, settings and applications will be preserved if you use the ISO recommended for your system by the Media Creation Tool.)

Please wait. There are two more steps to go.
Download Acelogix Regbak and backup the registry.
Then, do the following:
- Download cbsfix.reg and save it to a folder on the C drive -- e.g., C:\Fixes
- Download AdvancedRun (64-bit) from Nirsoft and run it.
- Using AdvancedRun, launch c:\windows\regedit.exe as TrustedInstaller (see Screenshot)
- In the Regedit window, click File, and click Import...
- Dismiss the "Location is not available" message box by clicking OK.
- In the "Import Registry File" window, in the "File name" text box, type C:\Fixes\cbsfix.reg and press Enter.
- After the import is successful, exit Regedit.
