Win 11 Widget Board all Black - asks to install Dependencies, but nothing happens...

Just had to reinstall Windows 11, 2h24, on our Lenovo T15. Everything works fine but the Widget Board. When I click the Taskbar Icon (shows no activity) the Widget Board loads but is nothing but black. When clicking on it, a message says "Additional Dependencies are needed to download and install" But when I click the install button the circle starts turning around. On and on forever. Nothing happens.

How do I fix this issue to make the Widget Board work again?

    Hi Anders,

    The event log entry mentioned the error code 0xc000027b, which doesn't indicate a corrupt module, but the WindowsApps folder permissions may be incorrect.

    Maybe you can run a Process Monitor trace to see if Widgets encounters any access denied errors.

    Please run a ProcMon trace and share the zipped log on OneDrive.

    1. Download Process Monitor: http://live.sysinternals.com/procmon.exe
    2. Launch Process Monitor.
    3. Reset the filter options and click OK.
    4. If tracing does not start automatically, press Ctrl + E.
    5. Reproduce the issue by launching Widgets.
    6. When the dependencies error appears, switch to Process Monitor and stop tracing (Ctrl + E).
    7. Save "All Events" in a PML log file.
    8. *Zip* the log file and upload it to your OneDrive. The PML log size will be huge. Zipping it reduces the size by 90%.

    Note:

    The Process Monitor log file can reveal your user account name or sometimes the Microsoft account email ID. If you wish to share the log with me or specific people, you can use the "Restricted" option in Google Drive. Once I send a request, you can grant me access.

    I tried to do a reinstall using the Evergreen installer you suggest. This is the message I got:

    Also, I reinstalled MS Edge from your link. It did not change anything. Sorry....

    But how to repair or reinstall the faulting module as to the Event Viewer entry I put here for your attention?
