Mine has stopped too. I'm not sure what fixed it. I upgraded from the Home to the Pro edition. Also, I updated with the Cumulative Update. After that I updated to version 1803. I haven't had a problem since.

Since resolving an issue with my ATI Video Driver recently, I have started getting the following errors, once a day, which cause my system to restart unexpectedly.
I believe this to be a driver issue, even though it looks like a hardware issue.
When it happens, I am usually watching TV on it via my XBOX Media Center Extender.
Event ID 20 - WHEA-Logger
A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Error Source: Machine Check Exception

My Computer is a Dell XPS 7100 with an AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor and ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series graphics adaptor.
All Dell diagnostics run cleanly and successfully.
Can anyone advise what to do to investigate further please?

2018-04-26T00:44:34+00:00 hay guy reinstall windows again b/c the virus might be embedded in your computer and no way to get rid of it or even detect it on your system !!!! make sure to format your whole system before you reinstall windows 10 ok !!! Also do you have software that will check to see other things using your internet bandwidths b/c the virus might be using it !!!

2018-04-25T21:50:52+00:00 Following this previous comment, 19 days later I still have Fast Startup disabled. Today the reboot happened again.
The strange fact is that, after the reboot was completed, Windows Defender notified me that the virus protection was disabled (I had to reactivate it manually with a click). Do you think it could be in some way related to the reboot?
Now I'll try to re-disable Fast Statrup then, and see if it does anything good.
I'm pretty disillusioned that this plaguing issue will be solved soon (or any time at all) since, as the previous commenter said, I'm noticing a rather lacking presence of Microsoft personnel here.
Perhaps I should have done it earlier, but I think I'll try to contact Acer and/or AMD - maybe they're aware of this issue.
