Had the same problem and DiaconuDaniel's solution worked for me as well - took a while to recreate the index but then everything was fine - Thanks

    Thank you!

    This works perfectly, no need to uninstall or remove anything. Do what he said and it will fix the search indexer problem. It use to eat my CPU too before and my laptop is still new! Didn't make sense for it to be using that much resources. Anyways, hoping that it doesn't happen again lol.
