My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

However, there is a way to force firmware to install.:
- Open registry editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FirmwareResources.
- You should see four GUIDs, representing the Surface Pro's four firmware devices.
I don't see any GUIDs listed under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FirmwareResources.. I only see one entry in the first row with (Default) REG_SZ (value not set)

After 18 months my TypeCover works again !
What I meant was I'd already installed the update. It didn't change anything :-(

It says thank you for updating but doesn't do anything for me. I cannot downgrade to try the upgrade via update manager.
