My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

I was waiting to give Microsoft time to correct the problem but as you say nothing is happening
Perhaps it is time to start considering going legal
We would need a significant number to get a class action together and then look for a "no win no fee" legal practise
Are there any people interested in creating this
Looks like I have the exact same issue, I've been using an external keyboard but this is far from ideal. Considering the number of people this is now affecting I'm surprised this hasn't already lead to legal action.
Surely releasing an update that cripples people's hardware and then demanding ~£500 to repair / replace cannot be legal?
I bought a bluetooth type-cover-like keyboard. It works fine but sure not same construction quality. Now I ended up with two original type covers, one of them brand new, that dont work with anything else. Is Microsoft going to reimburse me? Ive replied to my original claim where I was advised by Microsoft to buy a new one, and have not received an answer yet... 4 times without a solution, and just happens that the problem presents itself just months off warranty period... Mmmmm. Of course, what do they care about a couple of disgrunted clients when they have billions of other clients. We should switch to Apple or Chrome OS now that they have reached productivity level software. Google has honored me a couple of times for defective devices very off of warranty period. Thats service and client centric conciousness.
I actually have not had the extra cash to grab one just yet, but plan to soon.
