Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 WiFi and Bluetooth suddenly stopped working.

My wireless devices suddenly stopped. Everything working fine last Thursday nigh but Friday and over weekend - I've tried everything to get the device working and all has failed.

uninstalled device leaving driver

removed driver and reinstalled

used earlier version of driver and updated

uninstalled device and removed driver and reinstalled

etc etc

used services  to reengage Bluetooth support services

nothing seems to be working.

My Surface works in my docking station with a wired connection and a wired mouse, but wireless connection has failed and Bluetooth isn't reading

any suggestions?

The only actions which resolved the issue for our devices so far multiple times were:

  1. Login to Windows
  2. Hold th power button by itself for approx 15-20 seconds until screen goes black
  3. Press the power button once to switch back ON and wait for Windows to boot again and in our case that's sorted it

There is always a low risk of causing issues with OS/data with crashing out of OS however when one has little option it would try anything.

Good luck 😊

    exact same problem.

The surface works in the docking station with a wired connection and a wired mouse - but useless to me on the road.

Wow- can't believe no fix and I have to buy a new device already!!!

Nothing "happens". It just says "No Wi-Fi networks found" even if I am right next to a router, at home or work. And the option to enable Bluetooth has completely disappeared.

WiFi is on, Airplane Mode off, and I tried all of the above fixes (uninstalling the driver, reverting to old version, installing new drivers, checking services). In Network Connections, it says "Not connected", but shows 5 bars (whatever that means) and diagnosing the connection with Windows Network Diagnostics does nothing but tell me to unplug the router (which isn't the problem) and then says "Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Not fixed".

I had also attempted to restart in Safe Mode with Networking, just out of curiosity, but that led me nowhere.
