This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Hello,
Any solution for this issue : Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 , No Bootable Device error. I had try to recover the disk but still no luck.
Regards
Thanks so much for this. It is so clear and full of hope for resolving this highly frustrating issue!
Obviously, it didn't work out so simple for me though.
After clicking "hardware issue" from the dropdow, I get the message:
"There was a problem loading your support options."
This happens repeatedly.
Having same issues with my Surface. Sent to Geek squad and all they told me was that I needed to mail it to Microsoft. They told me more than likely it will need to be replaced as it's not under warranty anymore. I purchased it for my daughter in 2020. I can assure you that my family will never purchase any microsoft products ever again. This is completely absurd- a 3 year old computer needing to be replaced in 2022. I had a Dell laptop I purchased for college in 2007 and it finally crashed in 2019. I was ok with needing to replace that device after that long of service. We will be looking into an HP or Dell this week. Very aggravating. Thank you for all the notes/replies in this thread. It was very helpful!
Hello. I am after the first chat with the surface go MS service with the surface go 1 tablet, I had to receive an email by the end of the day, after 48 hours, to solve the problem with blocking the tablet causing the entire device to brick after updating the 1.0.34 system system, supposedly he can see the disk but the data completely blocked. a similar situation took place in surface rt3 where the mmc disk crashed completely. I have the tablet after the warranty and there were no problems with this device until the update as mentioned above. I am waiting for an email with the service.
