This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.
I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.
Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so
Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?
I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.
I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback
Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.
Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

I am having the same problem. No Bootable Device. I have tried the solutions offered on the MicroSoft web site. Bestbuy geek squad says they cannot work on a surface go. After two hours of trying online and on the phone still no luck speaking to or chatting with a MicroSoft representative. The only solution offered was to send it in to be looked at for a charge of $259.00. There must be a better way. The device was working without problems and has no physical damage.
Hallo all,
Today i was receiving the Surface from Microsoft. I am happy because the bricked one was Surface Go 1 and they sended me Surface Go 2 witch looks like new and works perfectly fine. Anybody that has a bricked one should send it to Microsoft and it will be able to receive a new one in max 1 Week from the date it was send to Microsoft.
Hello, I just received one new Surface Go 2 (4 Go / 64 Go) as replacement of bricked Surface Go 1. Thanks Microsoft for the support (but less for the Go 1 corrupted firmware) !!
