Surface Go uefi version is 1.0.34 and No Bootable Device error

Recently receiving "No Bootable Device" error on Surface go running UEFI 1.0.34.

I've tried all the recovery disk options without success.

Have also noticed a few reddit threads with similar issues with this version in the last week or so

Anyone else seen this and managed to recover their device?

I have lodged multiple support tickets, confirmed there is no way for a user to roll back this firmware update.

I have also lodged a complaint here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoftfeedback

Edit: 11/7 - After 5-6 weeks I've finally been able to send it back and it's been a fee-free replacement. It has been a lot of back and forth and mentioning this thread with so many other instances of it.

Still waiting for someone to lodge this as a firmware issue.....and remove that version of the firmware from Microsoft site.

Microsoft Your irresponsibility destroyed years of work of a public organization, closed projects that are already underway, on which your own funds were spent.

There were force majeure from the partners, and a complete collapse of activity!

And you say that we should look for friends and send them to Europe ourselves because this is the buyer's problem?

Billionaire corporation can't afford an office in Ukraine?

Or solve a problem with users in a country where there is a war!

How is this from a moral point of view?

In my opinion, the fact that some people get their device directly replaced and the one who have to ask several time for that depends on the microsoft support center (i.e european one and american one), and the more people are reporting it with the bug the higher the chance to have it replaced straight away;..

In any case, given the number of people complaining (which is only the emerged part of the iceberg) I would highly recommend that each of us who has any contact with the digital newspaper press (or blog or anything with an important community following this kind of topic) should point out our cases and spread the word. THis way, Microsoft will have to acknowledge publicly the problem and fix it

If you do so, please keep us posted, I'll try to do it in the luxemburgish and belgian press

I contacted the German Surface Support on July 5th, 2022. With reference to the fact that the update to firmware version 1.0.34 caused the problem, the

support employee confirmed that this was a known problem and that the Surface would be exchanged.

30 minutes later I received a shipping label from UPS in the mail. The package went on its journey on 06.07.2022 ....

My package was at Microsoft (or a partner company) somewhere in Poland on 07/08/2022.

On the same day, a used Surface Go2 from Holland was sent to me. The device was delivered on 07/11/2022.

First start..... heart attack....message "No Bootable Device"....I already had that with the old device......

My expectations would have been more like that.... Start, rest of the setup...is running.....!!!!!!

It doesn't matter..... with a little knowledge and expertise, the device is now running....

Question : What does someone who doesn't "know" do???????????????????????????

I hope you (Microsoft) learn from this.....

Ultimately it was a "cold" expropriation......

    Good luck to all......
