Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

Thx,

Bernd

    Hi,

i have seen and read the post "Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV". Mein Problem is nearly identical: my sp1 connect smoothly my TV (UE55H6270), but my SP3 just does not connect it!! I tried to reduce the screen resolution of SP3, 1920x1080, 1080x768 and any possible. Unfortunately None of these worked!  Further Search via google was brought no more infos or solution.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    THX!!!

    Tim

Still the same problem here. Got a Samsung UE40H6270 and my SP3 wont connect. tried to change resolution etc...

Even no asking for a WPS Pin, just the sentence "connectin to...". its terrible, that a hardware like the SP3 for houndreds of dollars get stuck on such a "simple" problem.

Any further solution would be nice.

    Thanks for this workaround solution!

Now with Firmware 2210 on my Samsung TV UE75HU7500 it does work when FIRST changing the resolution to abovementioned 1920x1080. The screen freezes for 30 seconds after the connection was established, but then it works fine as expected.

It does NOT work when I set the resolution to 1024x768, because then the TV reboots after a while trying to negotiate the proper resolution.
