Surface Pro 4 Keyboard not working / type cover keyboard driver missing

Hi.

I have a surface Pro 4 and the type cover keyboard is not working. 

The driver has gone missing (just shows HID keyboard device) so I can't do what the other forums have said an uninstall the driver.

I have installed the SP4 driver updates and still not working.

I also did the two-button restart and disabled/enabled the keyboard in UEFI. No joy.

I'm on 10.0.18632 Build 18632 MS Windows 10 Pro

Can anyone help with this?

    Unfortunately, "Surface Type Cover" doesn't appear in the list for most of us in this thread.

    Ya.. Me too got in surface pro 3..tried all the solution Mentoned.. But no result.. Kindly help for this type cover keyboard issue.. Bluetooth also not able to add the Keybord after all these reset

    This is very bizarre. I had to go into the office today, so I packed up my Surface Pro and in I went I am here now typing on my cover!!!!  So, I forgot my bluetooth keyboard and mouse and borrowed a Bluetooth keyboard and figured I could just touch the screen for any mouse clicks I needed to do. I still have the keyboard receiver in the slot and I don't want to remove it in case this will stop working. The only other thing I did different was to lay the surface type cover keyboard completely flat. We'll see what happens when I remove the USB BT keyboard receiver dongle thingy

    Don't expect Microsoft to chime in and help. This is getting to the point where there should be a class action

    Hello 

    Please my keyboard not working at all suddenly although I tried it on another device and was working probably 

    I changed the software as well of windows 10

    I don't know what to do
