This is so sad and disappointng! First my keyboard just stopped working and now the screen of my SF pro 4 is flickering! What's next micrisoft? Exploding unit?

I don't know what happened. I turned my Surface Pro 4 on the other day and the type cover is dead. No lights. No response. No indication that it's working at all. I rarely take my surface anywhere.
This started on July 9th 2018. My system information is below. I've gone through all of the steps in the "Troubleshoot your Surface Type Cover or keyboard" page. I've tried to manually download and install the latest firmware and drivers from the "Download firmware and drivers for surface" page. I picked SurfacePro4_Win10_16299_1801701_1.msi. My device manager does not show the "Surface Touch Cover Filter Device" under keyboards or anywhere. It only shows the HID keyboard and cannot detect my type cover. The type cover is completely unresponsive. Also, my windows updates are completely up to date. I've provided the links to the troubleshooting pages I used below.

My type cove and touch pad not working but device manager can detect type cover and touch pad.
I've tried on type cover for surface pro 4 and type cover for surface pro 6 was same not working.

2019-08-13T09:19:31+00:00 My SP won't even see the Type Cover in Devices. I've tried installing 1903 several times using the Media Creation Tool, but it fails silently each time.
I bought a Lenovo Yoga as a replacement. It's sitting in its box while I try out a few last things, but after four Surface Pros, and one Microsoft Band, I feel like I'll never trust MS hardware again.

2019-08-12T22:23:55+00:00 Sadly this will not work if the Type Cover is not functioning in the UEFI and backlight isn't even illuminating. This is a firmware issue which Microsoft needs to resolve.
