My Surface Pro 7 has been disconnecting from the internet. It's still connected to my wifi network, but it says "Connected, no internet". The internet is working (connected to the same wifi) on my other devices, including my phone and my Surface Pro 3. Can anyone help?

I can confirm that switching to N mode works stable and no disconnects experienced at all. WiFi connects at first attempt.

But I have also googled the net and found that there is a way to have stable WiFi also in AC and AX modes. You just need to set advanced property 'MIMO Power save mode' to 'No SMPS', as in the attachment.

Hey Microsoft, please fix this issue permanently as your clients buying top of the shelf product may be very disappointed that shiny new Surface Pros have such basic issues.

I'd be interested in knowing what brand and model router and firmware version those of you impacted by this are using.

If this happens again, go into device manager and uninstall but do not delete

the Intel WiFi network adapter and restart. Then reconnect and see what happens.

There are other steps you can try as shown in

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-fix-network-connection-issues

but try the uninstall first. (If it were me, if that failed, I'd go looking for

    newer drivers - see below).

Again, the Intel WiFi driver is new to Surface, so this is a brave new world. I

have seen connectivity complaints about that specific Comcast gateway in the

    past.

I don't know what driver version is shown for the Intel WiFi in device manager, but you can install the MSI package from to be sure they are installed correctly.

Mod edit: We don't recommend installing drivers that have not been tested on these devices and published by Microsoft in Windows Update.

The Intel WiFi in the SP7 is new territory for most of us. This is the first report. May I ask what router you are using?

Did you install all the available updates?

If you open a cmd prompt and run the following, is the issue cleared or not?

    ipconfig /renew
